A Winter's Flame: Cinematography Film from Rich Wareham on Vimeo.
Cinematography Assignement for Mr. John Bradburn.
I focused on natural light in it's element and enhancing it using practical ight when needed.
Overall, I am happy with how it turned out. Although a few shots are hard to make out due to a slight over-editing, most of it seemed to work well with each other providing a good pacing to it.
The circle of confusion was overused slightly, providing a few transitional shots to either candles, street lamps etc. but some of the choices in the cut were based around where the light was in the shot and which best to put it in the next shot.
Anyone complaining that the kit lens of a 550D isn't that great, this is what is achievable. It's a lot more hard work, but with patience & careful planning, the images will come to you.
Shot using Canon EOS 550D SLR camera with 18-55mm kit lens.
Edited using Final Cut Pro 7, Compressor & MPEG Streamclip
